Ruffus are a three piece Pop/Rock band based in Dublin Ireland. Formed in 2000 from the ashes of a duo called Shade 20, the lads have spent the last 10 years on the road gigging up and down the country to become one of Irelands top cover bands. They have even brought their show and played to audiences as far a field as countries like China & France. Their show is a 2-3 hour well-rehearsed, tight set that is aimed to an audience of all ages. Well suited to most venues and occasions the lads can be found rocking out at a late night club or bar for students and the younger generation with a good selection of current chart material, they are also equipped to play for weddings, functions and parties with a huge back catalogue of classic tracks for an older audience. Praised for their dedication to perfecting the sound of each song, the only way to experience a Ruffus show is to see them live on stage.

While gigging as cover band the lads also write and record their own material in their recording studio. Described by one Irish Music Journalist (Jackie Hayden – Hot Press Magazine) as “being able to bridge the gap between credible and commercial with a heavy bias towards the American market”.

The lads will be heading into Windmill Lane Studios, Dublin in February 2012 to record their debut single which they hope to release in March 2012 on the Ruby Music Record Lable in March 2012. A combination of Rock Star attitude, big stage presence and major musical talent makes up the unique sound that is RUFFUS.
